Perlane®

Perlane image 1 Perlane® is another FDA-approved cosmetic dermal filler that replaces lost volume and smoothes moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the nasolabial fold. Perlane® is made from a hyaluronic acid (HA) and has larger particles than Restylane® for deeper injections. Perlane® may maintain its cosmetic effect for at least six months in most patients.

As with all injections, some patients may experience discomfort. To increase your comfort the doctor will assess your need for pain management and determine what technique is right for you.

Perlane image 2 Normal injection-related reactions may occur such as temporary injection-site redness, swelling, tenderness, firmness, lumps/bumps and bruising. Patients who are using substances that can prolong bleeding such as aspirin or ibuprofen, have a history of excessive scarring, severe allergies, pregnant, or considering a laser treatment, chemical peel, or other treatment based on an active dermal response must inform the office before hand.
